What is Evolution “In Progress”?

Well a great wine just doesn’t happen overnight! When our winemaker created our Lucky No.9 White Wine back in the 90’s, he did it through tons of blending trials, experiments with different amounts of residual sugar and, we assume, at least one brightly colored windbreaker.

Today our winemaking duo-extraordinaire loves to work with new and up-and-coming grape varieties in the Pacific Northwest. This isn’t just the land of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay anymore, we are seeing Gamay, Sauvignon Blanc, and even northern Italian varieties! And don’t get us started on all the stunning fruit they are growing in the Columbia Valley!

So while we’re trying out new wines, fine tuning the winemaking, and seeing what sticks to the inside of your wine glass, we’ll call the wines “In Progress” so you can always tell which of our wines can be your dependable favorites, and which will just be something exciting and new to try in the meantime!
